Montessori Toddler Programs may Include:
A Montessori toddler classroom looks after children from 18 months to 2.5 (or 3) years old. The environment includes developmentally appropriate furniture and materials. Safety is paramount, but equipment that limits a child’s freedom of movement is avoided. Instead, specially designed furniture supports your child’s budding independence, including bars for pulling up, mirrors to reflect body movement, and a sleeping area with individual floor beds/mats, and child-sized tables and chairs rather than high chairs.
Montessori Preschool Programs May Include:
In a Montessori Preschool classroom, the teacher presents activities for the children, and the children choose freely between the activities based on their interest. We use hands-on, tactile materials to teach writing and math, teaching to your child the way they learn best.
